Log files service packs and hot fixes

Every service pack and hot fix will create a log file and those can be found in the C:\Windows folder:

The svcpack.log is the log file from Windows Server 2003 SP1.
KB885918.log is the SBS 2003 SP1 log file.
KB891193.log is the XP SP2 deployment log.
These 3 logs will be created if SBS 2003 has been upgraded from RTM.

sqlstp.log is the log file from SQL 2000 setup.

All Windows and Exchange patches will create a log file that start with KB followed by the number of that patch.

The Exchange setup and service pack log file is the exception, as it can be found in the root of the system drive. It is called Exchange Server Setup Progress.log and this file has the log from the service pack added to it.

The next screen shot is the Windows folder from an with SP1 integrated SBS 2003 install:

It doesn't have a svcpack.log as W2k3 SP1 was already integrated. It also won't have the KB885918 and KB891193 for the same reason.
The sqlsp.log is the log file from the SQL 2000 Service Pack.
