When the SBS Setup is run, there are quite some log files created. Those can be found in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Integration\Windows Small Business Server 2003\Logs:
The setup.log file should show that all parts were successfully installed. There is no use in asking you to show the contents though, as they don't tell us anything. The part that might have failed however, should be the clue for the file that might be interesting.
The errorlog.txt file will only show the error lines from the eventlog.txt file. There will always be lines listed, and we will explain in the subscriber article (that will be published later) which lines might be interesting.
The eventlog.txt is the total of the SBS setup and information will be added each time the SBS setup has been run.
All the other log files are the complete logs of the several parts of the SBS setup.
An integrated SP1 setup will show as follows:
The difference with an upgraded SBS 2003 is that the SP1 integrated install will show an extra log file: Sharepoint_MSDE.log. The reason is that the integrated install applied the SP4 for the Sharepoint MSDE. In the first screen shot Sharepoint was already upgraded to SQL, so no need for this log file in that case.
