Hi Glenn,

sounds like permissions or you're trying to write your backup file to the drive you're trying to backup?

I'm no expert but if you run the backup wizard from within SBS2003 it should automatically put all the correct settings in place for you (If you're doing this already then please forgive me stating the obvious).

hope you get it sorted

But I can write to the drive (saved a notebook file there this morning with no problem). The "D" drive is my data drive and my "F" drive is my external hard drive.

Hi Glenn,

Is the log file always looking like this? Have you excluded F completely from the backup? Are you running AV on the server?
