How do I exclude a particular file type from the sbs backup routine?

 

I have a group of users that insist on syn'ing cameras, Ipods & the like, and scatter image & music files all over the place - the lates was a backup to the the main company data area with 40gbs worth of ipod etc.

 

Leaving aside the obvious management issues - how can I globally exclude a certain file type(s) from the backup with out having to individually exclude a folder or file?

That's not quite what I want to do, as you then have to specify which files or folders you want to exclude.

 

I want to exclude certain file types from the whole backup.

 

I exclude [say} \users\user1\my music that's great, but the user might (and invariably does) create a folder "\comanydata\accounts\backup of all my music and videos since the great flood"  and thye next day another user will create "\accounts\joe bloggs camera\aunty mabels wedding"

 

As these are random folders & I can't predict where they are going I'm in a bit of bother. The company has oodles of space to store this crap (and doesn't mind the users doing it) but doesn't have the space to back it all up
