I have inherited the job of supporting this server.
One of the drives in the raid mirror was going bad, so I replaced it, and set the array to rebuild.
There was no option to do an offline rebuild, so I assume that the array is rebuilding in the background.
Anyway, when the machine tries to boot, gets to the splash, gets past the splash to "preparing network connections" and "applying settings" and it reboots.
In safe mode it will actually flash up the "press ctrl alt del" screen to login, but it will start shutting down immediately afterwards.
So for some reason sbs is getting the message to restart before I can do anything about it.
There is an old win2k machine on the network with messenger service enabled, and i noticed it is getting messages saying "server is restarting. save your work."
Is there anything I can do to get into it?
