Hello All:
Just ran into something completely new to me...
An inheritted 2003 server, DHCP running, with several workstations (about 5 out of 10) with two current IP addresses.
Is this a standard scenario in some extra interesting DHCP configuration?
The client is having some pesky connectivity issues (shares disappear and reappear moments later) as well as some significant slow down issues (shares take years to open) but these dual IP addresses were found while doing a simple inventory.
Just verified that those machines have two NIC's and both are connected. Are there any true advantages to dual-NIC workstations in a relatively 'standard' 30 person office doing standard office work with fairly heavy SQL work off of one of 2 servers?
Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.
