I am really stumped here - We are running 15 client computers from a Linksys router on wired connections. 2 Senior executives want to connect their laptops wirelessly. We can see the network OK on the laptops but fail to connect with the error message "Limited or no connectivity". I have also disabled DHCP on the router.

We have tried every which way - changing routers, disabling anti virus, disabling security, placing the laptops by the router - but still no joy..

The laptops work fine on a wired connection - I have also tried using a PMCIA wireless card but no joy.

Any help would be greatly accepted.

what are the laptops specifications.  some Linksys routers don't work well in AP mode and won't pass dhcp requests on.  Which linksys router is it and how do you have it configured?

It is a Linksys WAG54GS WirelessG ADSL with Speedbooster. It is setup with WEP key and DHCP is disabled.

first off use wpa as wep is now 99% crackable in two minutes with a 60% success rate in under one minute on a p-3 mahcine. Faster machines take this time down more.

Secondly do you have the latest firmware on that router? Also make sure that if you are not using speedbooster nics to turn speedbooster off on the router.also try changing channels on the wireless radio.
