I have several customers on a roll to switch to SBS 2008
And they are stubborn to have the companyweb site in their native language as opposed to english I wonder how do I accomplish just that from a
fresh install?

We did that in Sharepoint 2.0. See here How to create a sub site beneath Companyweb:
http://www.smallbizserver.net/Articles/tabid/266/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/80/How-to-create-a-sub-site-beneath-Companyweb.aspx. We don't have an article for 3.0 but I doubt it will be much different.

Thanks for your reply Mariette, I know about the way in SBS 2003, just wondered if it was at all possible to have the defautl one right from scratch in native language, I suppose not then.
So the solution would be to create a new one and just point to intranet or whatever in DNS and IIS ?

Hi Tony,

Yes, that will work. I have not looked into this issue in SBS 2008 so I have put this on my todo list. There will be a doc on this subject but don't push me....

Just to confirm Mariette, the "2.0" way does work fine, just tried it, installed the language pack and then just followed the how-to, so no problems to add it as a page beneath the default companyweb at all.
Would be even greater if the default one could be changed to the native language but then that´s a no go...
Oh well, It can be "solved" by just adding a new top site in the native lagnuage I guess

That is good news. Then I will make the new document with updated screenshots. Thanks for letting me know :-)
