I am having absolutely no luck doing a restore from tape using Backup Exec 11d.  Customer lost a bunch of contacts from Outlook after a visit to the Verizon store to get his 700wx updated.  I would have thought that Symantec would have this process simplified and straight forward.  I have not been able to mount the stores since I first tried a restore.  I am getting the C1041724 error.  I have been through the built-in utilities to repair the exchange database, but that fails also.  I am getting to the point where I don't have but 1 more full backuip tape to restore from.  Enough time has gone by to use up the rest of them.

The backup job is configured with the First Storage Group's mailbox & public folders checked.  It is not using Advanced File Open.  Full Database and Logs is checked.  Enable restore of individual messages is checked.  And the consistancy check is checked on the backup job.  I listed the above so that you will have some backgroud on what is being backed up.

I have made sure that the box is checked for the folders to allow the database to be overwritten during restore.  What is the trick to making BE11d restore exchange correctly so that I can mount the stores after restore?  Direction and guidance is sought.

Hi Kevin,

As I have no experience with BE, I am afraid I can't help you. Have you tried the BE website?
