Hi

I want to configure my server for outgoing mail only (sending server). I Don't want to use a smart host.

the MX record for mydomain.com points to my second server (the receiving server) that is actually receiving the emails. So all the replies to my sent emails are being received by the receiving server.

both servers share the same domain name.

The sending server is actually running a program that generate automatic emails and send them to clients, so there is no need to receive email.

What is the actual procedure to accomplish this?

I know it can be done because our server was setup like this before it died (no recovery backup)

thanks

Martin
