Yup, cut it big time. Like I mean a trip to the doctor and stitches in it and big bulbous bandage. This is an event for me, that's why I posted it here. I mean you don’t realize how important that mouse clicking finger is until it's gone. I tried clicking with one of my other fingers and it just wouldn't co-operate. It kept clicking at the wrong time. Either too fast or too slow. I tried putting that mouse in my other hand and that was a joke. You ever tried it. Move that mouse over to your other hand and give it a whirl. And toes are definitely out of the question. I'm sure I'll survive. But I wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy.

I was helping a friend work on his car. A part was stuck so I was pulling and twisting at the same time and it came loose. It jammed my finger right into a sharp edged dust cover. Ripped it right open. And it wasn’t a clean cut like a knife cut. It was real ragged and messy.
So I am now traing my left hand how to work a mouse. Very weird. |

| I know someone that uses his left hand just to be different...I always forget to switch left and right click when working on his computer. (This guy is right handed though) |

| Well, you know, the fingers on that hand just aren't trained, so it is clicking at the wrong time, or to fast,or too slow, or too many clicks. Makes the screen just jump all over the place. Makes for some very interestiing web surfing. |

I note that this thread started back at the beginning of last year, but I'll just add my three-hapence worth... I'm naturally left handed, so find that I can use a mouse in either hand without problems. Under normal circumstances I would but the problem that I found was that although my workstation can be set up to use a left-hand mouse, all the remote systems that I have to log onto *don't* Hence I went back to right hand. Mind you it is useful to use the mouse in the right hand and a pen or whatever in the left. |
