Hi gang!

The annual 3-day conference is just over two weeks away! It's at the Microsoft Conference Center and it's looking like 500 attendees. Big Fun and details at www.smbnation.com.

Note that we've just intorduced a three-payment plan to ease the costs\financial outlays associated with attending this event. All good and come help us build community!

Cheers....harrybbbbb

Sigh... if I had seen this post just a few days earlier I would likely be attending SMB nation this year.  As a relative newbie to the field I have gone back and forth on whether or not I could afford to attend this event compared to could I afford not to attend.  I estimated about $1500 in total costs and I eventually settled on not going because of the expense factor.  But, three payments over three months would make it easier on the budget.  Unfortunately, I didn't see the 3 payment plan announcement in time to reserver airfair 14 days in advance and now instead of $300 in airfare I'm looking at $500+.

End of sob story.

Hey Jack -

Thanks....we're trying to make good things happen....where are you located? There might be a few tricks in airfares...for example...Alaska Airlines has R/T from the east coast USA in the $300 USD range

Please advise...love to have you join the fun!

Harry,

I'm in deep South Texas.  We have a saying down here that says, "the great thing about they valley is that we're so close to the US!"

I went ahead and bit the bullet late last night.  I was able to find airfare through my AMEX for about $430.  Placed my reservations for air, hotel and of course the conference 3x. I called a trusted business counselor and he gave me the confidence that the investment would be well worth it.  Although he is in a different industry he assured me that attending his annual trade conference gives him an edge over the competition.

Looking forward to it!

Hey - please pulll me aside and say hello...we have over 600 folks now attending...and that's 400+ bona fide attendees!

FYI - I went to summer camp in Kerrville TX in my youth!

THANKS!

Will do.

Kerville is a great place, we have vacationed there.  We're about 6 hours south of there.
