yes but cals are much LESS expensive. Most of my clients jsut bought hte base level system with 5 cals..i'm wondering if MS is wanting to get a few more $$$ form those micro businesses?.. The preview they ahve is NOT the sbs regular but the ebs which is a three server solution. I'm waiting on the sbs trial.

I do realize that the beta is for the EBS, hence the title in my message.  I, too, am waiting for the SBS2008 beta.

One major difference is that there are now 2 types of CALs for the SBS2008 now.  One is standard and one is premium.  And you can opt to get the different CALs depending on whether that particular user (or device) will make use of the premium (SQL) features......

With SBS2003 prices so low now....  May be it makes sense to buy the SBS2003 with SA now?
