Hello,
I am trying to insall SBS 2008 and I gte the following error
STOP
ERROR 0xc00000e9
An unexpected I/O error has occurred
This is occuring straight after the "Press any key to boot from CD"
this is on a brand new server and if I try and install Vista or Windows 2003 server I have no problems.
Any ideas?

Hi Colm,
I would suggest you rather post this in the beta SBS 2008 newsgroup as there you will likely get a lot more feedback. Do include your hardware specifics.

Same problem here.
Downloaded DVD1 twice now from the website and created several disks.
Tried it on two different computers that both run SBS2003 R2 and Windows 2008 Server, both come up with 0xc00000e9 error.
No idea what is causing it.

Found the problem the DVD's being created were damaged, not sure why as I tried different computers.
and all is now working.

Hi Colm,
1) Select Create a data disk on startup.
2) Drop the iso image onto the the DVD disk on the left.
3) select Burn disk at once.
4) Press Burn disk button.
Thats it - hope it works for you.

Which version of thr software are you using? Also what type of dvd are you using, dvd+r? Sorry for the question but for me its still not working so maybe I am missing something.

latest version from the website & DVD+R worked for me.
Can you try burning the DVD on a different computer ?

No luck, tried burning DVD on slow burn, fast burn, different computers, different burn software and always the same frustrating result. No idea what could be causing this? Any help much appreciated. Here is the specs of the server.

One other thing, can anyone let me know the file size after downloading. Before downloading it says its 3.7GB, is this true after downloading?

Solved it, my download iso was bad, even though it was burning a cd that worked on a booted machine. Redownloaded and installing now.
