Hi, in the office there will be around 5 laptop computers. There will also be 2 external users who will be using Outlook Anywhere (RPC-over-HTTP) and RWW. I realise that the 5 internal users will need CALs assigned to them but do the 2 that are accessing from outside need them also? Also they won't actually be domain joined using //connect as the desktops are at a remote location - is this ok.

Cheers,

Kieran.

Hi Kieran,

All users that need to authenticate, need a User CAL.

Ok cheers, so basically I can let the two users log in using RWW and just assign them each a user CAL without actually attaching the computers to the .local domain i.e. they don't need an internal computer.

Hi Kieran,

But if you have five internal users and two external users, you would need 7 User CALs.
