Hi, does SBS 2008 i.e. Exchange 2007 include the Exchange assistant which allows your to simply call into the server and ask questions such as "what appointments do i have for today"? I've seen this as a feature of Exchange 2007 but didn't know if it was included with SBS.

Cheers.

I am looking into this now.

This is very confusing. MS states that we need Enterprise Cals for this but it is not clear you can use those on Exchange 2007 Standard. I have dropped this question in the private MVP group and waiting for an answer :-)

It seems not supported but here we go:
  1. Run the installer but choose 'Change'.

  2. Choose Next.

  3. Check Unified Messaging Role and click Next...

  4. Oops... We need to insert the SECOND DVD with the Repair stuff on it. Have a look in DVD-Drive:\CMPNENTS\Exchange12\

  5. Once the loation has been fixed...

  6. It is installing....

If this will work...I have no idea

Got this answer from Wayne Small (SBS MVP)...

"Not only do you need the enterprise CAL, you need Exchange Enterprise 2007 Server as well. Long story short - will not work ON SBS 2008, "could" be added on an additional server if you wanted to purchase all of the licenses.  I've asked MS for this (as have others) and the answer is "but this is SBS - why would you want that..." or "We have response point.... NOT IN AUSTRALIA"
