I was in the middle of an SBS 2003 install when I received the following error in the Component Messages screen for Domain Configuration:

"Cannot run DCPromo because the SYSVOL partition is not formatted as NTFS."

I have a hardware RAID 1 configuration and when I go to the disk management screen it shows each of my partitions in the volume as being NTFS partitions.

This happens just after I enter in my company information and choose a domain. My domain is faultlinemedia.office. I chose not to use the .local extension because of the incompatibility with Mac OSX, although I don't have any Mac clients and don't forsee having any in the future.

Can someone please help me to figure out what is going wrong.

Thanks

Well, I found the answer myself and in case anyone else is using a SATA Raid configuration, here is a link to more information: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;842466
