Hello,

I've recently run into a strange issue.  I have SBS2003 running on a machine, this was my dedicated single server for a long time, and recently added another server to the network.  The new server is running 2003 Server Enterprise Edition.  I would like to ultimately phase out the use of the SBS2003 as our primary server and internet gateway, and move those resposibilities to the new server.  We also have a third server, running 2003 Enterprise, which we'd like to migrate our Exchange to.

First thing's first, I promoted the new server to be a DC.  A colleague of mine then *demoted* the SBS2003 server before we'd transferred the exchange boxes to the new exchange server.  We went back and promoted the SBS2003 server to a DC again, however now it cannot access the network shares on the other DC -- it asks for a name/password, and the admin name/pass doesn't work.  As a result, this means it cannot access the sysvol folder on that DC, so our old exchange (with all our mail on it!) won't even start.

Do you have any advice on how to pull ourselves out of this predicament?
