I'm setting up a RIS /WDS deployment in our network, to deploy Windows XP to either new computers as well as existing computers (in case of a re-install).
When I install a new machine, a computer-account is created in AD and in the Properties-dialog, there's a 'management'-tab. You can see or change the GUID on this tab.
For excisting clients, this tab is absent, so I can't enter the GUID of that PC. In case of a reinstallation, this means I have to rename the client after the installation.
Is there a way to change existing clients from 'unmanaged' to managed? I.e., to get access to the Management-tab in AD?
