im hoping someone can assist with my issue ... i just put up my first sbs2k3 R2 server and while going thru the checklist, ran into the error below ... i have search the web to see what exactly is causing this but the only kb article that i have found is this which i have verified is set correctly ... what exactly is the wizard checking during the email setup??? to get around this, i went into exchange and setup exchange address space and successfully tested inbound and outbound smtp mail ... the problem is SBS still thinks exchange has not been setup and when i go to setup WSUS, it complains about exchange and ask that i finish the configure email wizard ... help please!!!!!

Please, post an ipconfig /all from the server and a workstation. Open a command prompt by opening Start -> Run from the Start Menu and type cmd. From the command prompt type ipconfig /all >ip.txt. Attach this file to your answer. Please, also post the part of icwlog.txt that contains an error (not the whole file).

Only the lines starting with Error 0x800 would have been sufficient.
 
Error 0x80070003 returned from call to Restricting exhchangeoma to local server only().
Error 0x80070003 returned from call to CEMailCommit::Commit().
 
0x80070003 means that some file or folder is missing. Check if you have the exchange-oma virtual directory in IIS, default website.
