Hi all... running SBS 2003 SP 2. I had the fax running fine before we moved office, plugged it all back in after the move and nothing, the modem had disappeared (using an external US Robotics 56k modem by the way, serial connection). I decided to start from scratch and uninstall/reinstall the fax services. Modem is picked up in the Device manager with correct drivers installed. I ran through the "Fax Configuration" wizard but the modem does not appear in the "Device" list to choose.

Have reinstalled device, changed drivers but still it does not show. There are no errors on either the modem or COM port when I have checked the Device Manager.

Very confused. Any help gratefully recieved!

Hi Marina,

Believe it or not still no resolution. I had to fix quick so setup the fax service on another server we have. Not revisited trying to get it working on the SBS box due to time. Will have another crack soon!
