I am using. On this step Create an alias that maps the source server name to the destination server name netdom bsg1 /add:bsg.bsg.local

says paraneter bsg1 was unexpected. so I use netdom computername bsg1 /add:bsg.bsg.local

unable to add bsg.bsg.local as an alternative name for the computer
the error is
cannot complete this function.

The computer rename preparation procedure is available only if the functional level of the domain to which this computer is joined is win server 03 or higher the command failed to complete successfully.

I am using w2k SP2 support tools.

I dunno if I am even using the right command.

Thank You, Eric Vogel
