Hi all,
In the Server Management console, on the Backup, Update Services and the Monitoring and Reporting main pages I'm receiving the following message "This program cannot display the webpage". Everything else appears to be working correctly.
Pointers / comments / advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Zac,
Is 127.0.0.1 added to the IP address list in IIS? If not, please add that and type 'iisreset' from the command prompt.

Hi Mariette,
Please excuse my ignorance but I'm not really strong when it comes to IIS. I've had a bit of a look around the Interwebs to find out how I go about the basics and just wanted to make sure that the I'm looking in the correct spot in order to answer your question.
From the SBS Server -
open IIS Manager -> expand SBSserver (local computer) -> r/click Web Sites -> r/click Default Web Site -> Properties -> Web Site tab -> IP address Advanced
My entries -
Multiple identities for this Web site
192.168.1.3 TCP:80
127.0.0.1 TCP:80
Multiple SSL identities for this Web site
192.168.1.3 SSL:443
I hope this is clear. Thanks again.

I am also having this same problem. 127.0.0.1 is definitely listed in the IP addresses on the Default Web Site but it still doesn't work.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Hi Jason,
Please, post an ipconfig /all from the server and a workstation. Open a command prompt by opening Start -> Run from the Start Menu and type cmd. From the command prompt type ipconfig /all >ip.txt. Attach this file to your answer.

Hi Marina,
Thanks for having a look at this for me, I've attached the IP configs you requested.
I would note that nothing has changed in my environment and prior to the recent issues everything was running fine on my server.
I've scoured the net and I can find that other people are having the same/similar problem after a WSUS update that came through a month or two ago, however, the ideas listed around the place don't seem to fix the issue.
Have been using the BPA and making sure everything is good, the only things thaat pop up in the scan is that I have EDNS enabled, DST update for sharepoint and a OWA update for Vista clients (which I don't have).
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jason.

Hi Jason,
Ipconfigs are looking good, but please follow the directions of the BPA. As you are not running ISA, there should be no 127.0.0.1 in the IIS settings for you. Which SBS version are you running and which WSUS?

Hi Marina, My IIS setting is not assigned, I'm running SBS standard 2003 SP1 and WSUS v3sp1. Cheers, Jason. |

Hi Marina, I ran the server cleanup wizard, it took about 48hrs to complete running at full steam on my ML115 with 4gig of ram and it appears to have fixed the problem. I'll keep an eye on it and give you an update if anything changes. Thank you very much for your advice, I was pulling my hair out!!! Cheers, Jason. |
