| Running SBS analyser on several of our clients HP ProLiant SBS servers reports Three or more network adaptor have been found on this computer... THe machines generally have one or two adaptors - can find any further info - wondering if this is related to ILO? Anyone else seen this?

| Try to run IPConfig /all or check the Network Interfaces section in Device Manager to see you can find them in there. |

Hi Paul,
The ILO will never appear as a network device on the SBS BPA. Some internal ISDN adapters will though. Did you ever swapp out a nic?

| Interesting, this occurs on HP Proliant ML110 servers only... The server just has the one one board NIC, no ISDN cards either of the two servers with the issue... |

Hi Paul,
But did you ever swap out a nic or not? Run the hidden files batch file you can find in the download section. Also, if you look at the SBS BPA, the more informational tabs, you might be able to figure out why it is thinking there are more nics.

| There is a second NIC in the server that is disabled (One NIC setup with hardware firewall) - I don't know if this has been used in the past. |

Hi Marina, ok yes run and it's revealed the issue... THe following devices are showing under network adaptors...
Direct Parallel
Ethernet Controller
Intel Pro 1000 Network Connection (This is the live LAN)
RAS Async adaptor
Realtec Fast Ethernet adaptor (Second physical NIC which is disabled as it's a one NIC installation)
WAN Miniport (IP)
WAN Miniport (L2TP)
WAN Miniport (PPPOE)
WAN Miniport (PPTP)
Thing is, which are needed, best to disable them?

Hi Paul,
Well, I think the Ethernet Controller shouldn't be there, but you are the only one who can see that. If it is showing dimmed, you can delete it. All other items are needed, but won't show as a nic in the BPA.
