I noticed my sbsmonitoring log was getting large, over 500mb so I found the article to move the location of the db files.  I went through the process of unattaching the monitor, moving the files and re-attaching the monitor.  After that, reporting would not work, nor could i backup.  I would get an error: "MSDEWriter" has reported an error 0x800423f4 along with a ton of VSS errors.  I also noticed the monitor and reporting window was no longer working.  I tried to unattach and reattach and still had the same problem.  Stopped and started the service with no luck.  I re-ran reporting tool which shrunk the db size and reporting is working, but what happened??
