Is it possible for Vista Premium to connect to SBS at the moment I get an error statiing that this is not a qualifing product?

Vista Home Premium cannot be joined to a domain. Only Vista Business and Ultimate.

Darn, didn't get logged in fast enough. However, you can still connect to the server using old school methods.

I have resolved this issue by upgrading the client pc but tell me the old school method, this sounds interesting?

No, it is not interesting as that won't gain you a thing. Like XP Home Vista Home simply can't be joined to a domain and thus can't be managed like Pro. It won't get any security policies nor updates from the server.
