Hey Guys,

I've had a SBS box running fine for the last 12 months but the other day I had to move it and since then the "Server Performance Reports" have stopped working.

I haven't changed anything else, the only external software is McAfee Total Protection Small Business - the rest is standard SBS.

The daily email I'm supposed to recieve comes through with the following:

The page cannot be displayed

An error occurred on the page you are trying to view.

To work around this problem, perform the following steps. After each step, try again to access the page.

  • Ensure that the MSSQL$SBSMONITORING service is started.
  • Ensure that the server is not low on memory or disk space.
  • Restart the server.
  • Verify that the server is functional and that there are no system-wide problems.
  • Run the Set Up Monitoring Reports and Alerts task in the Server Management Monitoring and Reporting taskpad.
I've tried all the above and nothing seems to work, if I re-run the wizard it seems to work once or twice but fails within 24hrs?

When I look at the error report I get the following:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: ServerStatusReports
Event Category: None

Now I've noticed that the Update Services Snap-in is also giving an error as shown below.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Jason.

Hi Jason,

I have 3 x servers doing the same since installing WSUS3 SP1. I can fix the problem by running the cleanup wizard in WSUS , reinstalling the Monitoring and restarting the server. I will work OK for a few days.
I've tried a lot of so called fixes even reinstalled WSUS (R2) and monitoring but problem comes back.
I manage another 12 other SBS 2003 R2 servers and they all have WSUS 3 SP1 and have no issues.
Hope someone has a fix.
Olaf
