Hi,

I want to stop client computers sharing files and printers betwen themselves by applying a GPO. The clients are Vista Business and Windows XP SP2. I have tried disabling "Allow file and printer sharing exception" in all three of the following GPOs at the same time:

Small Business Server Vista Policy
Small Business Server Client Computer Policy
Small Business Server Windows Firewall Policy

However, the clients Windows Firewall still showed that File and Printer sharing is allowed by Group Policy (ticked, grayed out and Yes for Group Policy).

Does anybody know how to do this or is it something that shouldn't be done?

Tony.

Tony,

I would not do that because it can cause unexpected things with applications. I would use a GPO and disable right click at certain parts of Windows so that users cannot share printers.
