Here is the deal.

I recently formatted our SBS2003 server, reinstalled and began the process of bringing it to sp1 via the 5 steps.  I am thinking I missed one of the 5 steps or something.  I know at one point before I ran sp2 install, i checked the system properties, and it did in fact say Small Business Server 2003 sp1.  But now when I run the SBS 2003 BPA, it says sp1 not installed.  Since I have installed SP2 already, I cannot install SP1 obviously.  Is there any way, besides a another clean wipe, to uninstall sp2 and attempt to correctly install sp1?  If a step is skipped in the SP1 install process, can that be resolved?

The server is running fine currently (only for a day or two so far with employees using it).  Any advice anyone can give me?

thanks in advance..

Hi Mike,

You are missing the SBS 2003 SP1, which is something completely different than the W2k3 SP1 and W2k3 SP2. How to install Service Pack 1 for SBS 2003: http://www.smallbizserver.net/Default.aspx?tabid=266&articleType=ArticleView&articleId=68

Hi Mike,

There is no need to remove W2k3 SP2. Just install SBS 2003 SP1.
