Ok guys so i have a question. I have a small business server 2003 with exchange running. I have macs setup on my network and the recieve mail from the exchange server no problem
 
well i went off site the other day and realized that i can still get emails. Im wondering how this works i thought that i had to be on my local network for the email to work .
 
 If you can answer this i would really appreciate it because its been bugging me like crazy

Entourage uses WebDAV to communicate with the Exchange server, and that service specifically interacts with the Outlook Web Access interface to send/receive e-mail. If you have Entourage configured to use the public URL for OWA (which is the best way to configure it) then it can connect with the Exchange server whether inside the network or across the Internet.
