Hi

I've run SBS 2000 & now 2003 for the past 7 years for our small 5-person company.  We're up for renewal of our mobile telephone contract and I would like the ability for us all to use push e-mail.  I have got OWA working by using a self-certified certificate.  As I understand I have three main choices:

1) Blackberry.  Clearly tried & tested technology.  However, I see others on the forums have had difficulty setting up the required server software.  I understand the BES software has been replaced for small business users (up to 30) by Blackberry Professional Software which comes in bundles of 5 licences at a time costing £299.  After wasting about 2 hours on the telephone with Orange trying to find someone who knew what I was talking about, it appears there is a monthly cost of £35 per handset in addition to line rental & data plan cost which makes this solution prohibitively expensive.

2) Windows Mobile 6/Exchange ActiveSync.  This has the advantage of needing no additional software, and no additional cost other than a data plan.  I've read forums posts on setting this up and it appears tricky but achievable.

3) Nokia (Mail for Exchange).  I've always been impressed with the robustness of Nokia mobiles.  I understand the Mail for Exchange application is not quite as good as Exchange ActivSync, but still gives the ability to at least read e-mails, sync calendar and contacts.  However, I can see from the forums that people have had a total nightmare getting this to work properly - mostly related to problems with the certificate on the 'phone.

Any comments, suggestions or advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks

>Windows Mobile 6/Exchange ActiveSync<

I've not found this solution to be tricky at all. Everyone I've done had email coming across in a matter of minutes. The interface is not as fancy as the iPhone, but it is pretty reliable technology.

And then another solution is the new iPhone. It's active sync seems to work OK.
