Hi Guys:

 

I recently moved an old SBS 2003 standard box which was running ISA 2004 to a new box using Jeff Middleton's Swing Migration - worked great!

 

However, I am trying to access the firewall on the new server which is not running ISA and I keep geeting this error:

 

windows firewall cannot run because another program or service is running that might use network address translation component (Ipnat.sys)

 

Any ideas?

If you have 2 nics in the server, you only have the NAT/Basic Firewall which you can find in the RRAS mmc. If you only have 1 nic, there is no firewall so you will need to have a good proper hardware firewall.
