Hi I recently viewed a site which had SBS 2003 installed with ten or so XP Pro machines running. I noticed that only one of their CAL licenses were used up. I enquired about this and current network manager stated that he had not been connecting computers to the domain using //connectcomputer, instead just adding the domain in System Properties. Does SBS know this and degrade performance or something over time if you do not assign CALs to computers or is it fine to do what he is doing? Kieran.
