Hi,

I was wondering if i could get some help with DCOM error on SBS 2003

ID: 10016
Description:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the Com Server application with CLSID {61738...} to the user NT Authority\Network Service SID. This security can be modified using the component services administrative tool.

I am afraid i am not sure which application it's referring to.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Hello Daminto,
I suppose that You get Your message in the event viewer.
What You can do is search for the application name in the registry:
HKCR-CLSID-Your clsid from the message.
Then go to component services in configuration-->systemmanagement.
Click component services and then computers--> this computer . Select  DCOM-configuration and search your dcom-application.
Right click and choose properties. then  You see a security tab. Here You can change permissions.
I hope that this works, Ilja Zwolsman
