I have a user that is leaving the company but for legal reasons needs to be able to access some resources on the network via a Citrix server.

How do I change him to a plain user rather than a mail enabled user?

I don't want to delete/recreate him as there is some permissions in an app somewhere that is tied to his SID (3rd Party App - nothing to do with me)

Just use AUDC and remove the mailbox.
