Hi there,

I have a strange issue with receiving mail on my 2003 SBS. Outgoing email works fine. If I mail from the outside I get the following 5.5.4 error.

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

  user@domainname.com

The mail server could not deliver mail to user@domainname.com.  The account or domain may not exist, they may be blacklisted, or missing the proper dns entries.

I checked my MX and A host record at my ISP, I made sure I have a rule on my firewall that allows traffic on port 25. I can even telnet in on port 25 and send an email that way - no problem. I can telnet from inside the network as well.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dennis
