WE are running SPS 3 alongside our company web and are looking to streamline it as we have had some intermittent problems with the former company web (we have to go in and stop and restart it makes it workg again)

currently we have

Default Home Page
Sharepoint - 80 (stopped)
Sharepoint Cent Admin v3
MS Sharepoint Administration
Sharepoint Cent Admin
companyweb
WSUS Administration
Sharepoint -67XX (our current SPS3 site)
Quarantine Digest ( our AV quarantine site)

As  we have to run Default Home Page for SBS can we not just delete Sharepoint -80 ? it is always in stopped mode anyway.

Also is there anything else that may no longer be needed as we are using sps3 ( we are keeping companyweb for incoming faxes via a tabbed link from sps3)

Also we need to give our main/default SPS3 site a more memorable name rather than a port numerb address. IS there a straightforward way to do this? I have been going through all the administration sites and cannot see how/where this can be done. It seems that one has to start creating a new site and it is fixed from /sites

Regards
Jass

Hi Jass,

Did you figure this out yet?

Marina Roos Smallbizserver.Net AdministratorMission accomplished. We have joined the branch office to our SBS 2003 Headquarters and have the same user experience on the branch office as we have on our local  network at the Headquarters. Want to know how?
