Hello all,

We are running SBS 2003 SP2 Premium and are currently looking at an extranet/intranet solution.  I had a look at Sharepoint on our server and followed the article on this site for how to upgrade to version 3.0.  I was able to do this successfully and view the site internally without any problems however I simply can not figure out how to make this site available externally.

When I log in remotely via RWW the link for the internal web site is pointing to the older/original Sharepoint site.

Then I thought, just for now as we are testing this, that I could add a web publishing rule in ISA for the new site but it is unfortunately not working.

The new site is - internally:  http://sbs-bal:14500/sites/extranet  * changed default port

It is late so I apologize if I do not have enough info on here however I wanted to submit this question in case someone has come across this and I can then continue working on this first thing in the morning.

Thanks so much in advance!
Tammy

Tammy,

I think RWW is always going to point to the old companyweb.

Are you trying to access your new site via SSL connection? Like https://fqdn:port# for just company employees? Or are you trying to set up a page for public access?

In Sharepoint 3.0 you will have to setup the external UNC via Alternate Site mappings ~

Hi Stan,

Thank you for your assistance with this.  We have now actually decided to go with a SharePoint 3.0 hosting company to host our site - will just make things easier in the long run and the pricing seems pretty good!

Thanks again!
Tammy
