Before I upgrade MSDE to SQL I would like to backup the Sharepoint database. First of all because I can't find any instances in SQL I'm assuming my Sharepoint site is using MSDE, am I currect assuming this?
 
Is the following location where my sharepoint site is saved by default? C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$SHAREPOINT?
 
I would like to backup the SharePoint database then upgrade MSDE to SQL and I'm assuming (never done this before) I would then migrate the old MSDE database to SQL.
Any help is appreciated - thanks.

If you haven't upgraded to SQL, you won't find any instances in SQL Enterprise manager. Please follow the Premiuminstallsteps.htm on the Premium Technologies CD.
