Hi Brandon,

Did you follow the premiuminstallsteps.htm on the Premium Technologies CD?

Hi Brandon,

Are you sure you mean the SQL Agent in the system tray? Can you post the ipconfig/all of the server? Did you apply SP4 for SQL?

Hi Brandon,

Make the external nic static as you are using a private IP range and it will get rid of the extra dns suffix lan. Change it, and rerun CEICW. Did you install a SQL instance and applied SP4 and did you upgrade Sharepoint to SQL too?

Hi Brandon,

Ipconfig is good now. You did rerun CEICW, right? That program files doesn't tell me anything about SQL. Do you have the following services up and running: MSSQL@SHAREPOINT, MSSQLSERVER, MSSQLServerADHelper (manual), SQLAgent@SHAREPOINT (Manual) and SQLSERVERAGENT (Manual)?

Hi Marina,

I dont have some of what you mention but here is what i have.

MSSQL$SBSMONITORING(Started)
MSSQL$SHAREPOINT(Started)
MSSQLServerADHelper(Manual)
SQLAgent$SBSMONITORING(Started)
SQLAgent$SHAREPOINT(Manual)

I restarted after i made the changes to the NIC and reran the CEICW and the windowssharepoint services error is gone but the tray icon of the sql server services manager still says not connected.

Hi Brandon,

You haven't installed a default SQL instance (which you would have if you would have followed the Premiuminstallsteps.htm completely) and I think you haven't completed the upgrade of the Sharepoint instance to SQL neither (which is also in those steps). Did you apply SP4 for SQL to the upgraded Sharepoint instance?

Hi Brandon,

If you have Standard, you don't have the Premium Technologies CD which has SQL 2000 and ISA 2000 server. So you can't upgrade the Sharepoint to SQL instance at all.
The icon you see is normal with the Standard SBS. Does the companyweb work from the server and the clients?
