Hello, and thanks fore a grat forum!!
We run an SBS were i work.  We have needs for making an databse where we can store dokuments, datashits, and client information linked together (searcheble on different criterias).  I'm a novice on PC programing (used to embeded C C++ on microcontrollers) and i don't know how to attac this problem.  We have SQL runing on our SBS(used by sharepoint) and i want to use this for data storage, is there a tool for making a easy "SQL"application whit an user interface included in SQL server?

Best regards

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

Have you checked out Sharepoint on the SBS? It has a lot of possibilities which might suite you and without programming. If you have enabled the Full Text search on Sharepoint, you can search for whatever you want.

Hi again Maria! (ref fax issue)!

I have looked at this, but maybe I don’t have a complete functionality overview off sharepoint?  Has sharepoint any other categorising functionality other than folder structuring.  A full text search will not let me take categorised searches on different criteria’s like delivery date, customer number, and contact person, and what type of document I'm looking fore in the same search? Or?

Hi Andreas,

Why not play with it for some time? You know what you want and you will soon find out if it will suite you or that you will have to investigate something else. Try the tools you already have first, before looking somewhere else.
