HI all,
I decided to install SQL server on the SBS server, I Installed SQL (Upgrading), and then tried to install SP4, but it gave an error saying that it can't extract sp4, so i got a CD from Microsoft that has SP4, installed it and everything went fine, After SP4 finished, I opened Enterprise Manager and created a new SQL Server Registrations, and i typed servername\sharepoint.
I went to enable full Text serach on Sharepoint, i got an error saying that it is not supported.
I noticed in Enterprise Manager that i could start SQL Agent, it keeps giving me "SQL agent is not allowed to run"!!!
I noticed under services.msc that SQL serivce is not there and SQLAgent$SHAREPOINT is set to Manual and can't be started!!!
I noticed that SQL Server Service Manager can't see itself!!!

I just noticed that i didn't choose Full-Text Search when i was installing SQL, is there a way to install that without reinstalling the whole thing?

Help please
Thanks in advance.

Did you read the PremiumInstallSteps on your CD?

Hi Rami,

Read the Premiuminstallsteps.htm and follow them step by step. It is all in there. If you don't see any sql service in the Services, the install is not good. Don't forget to apply the SP for SQL. It is perfectly normal that the SQL Server Agent is not set to automatic and thus not allowed to be started manually. It will start itself if needed.
