SQL dirves me crazy...I'll admit it....probably because I dont know it that well.....
 
I have about 12 users accessing a database...its not that large, only 3gb...  I was looking at my server's performance and SQLServer is using about 1.8gb of memory...  Now I understand the MSFW instance...but when it comes to the actual SQL Server instance, I am at a loss....  Is it normal for it to be using this much memory?  I thought Exchange was bad, but its only at 600mb...
 
Can I limit the amount of memory SQL uses like I did with MSFW?  And not have everyone complaining that their SQL connection is slow?

Are the users complaing about the server being slow?  If not then things are ok.  Yes for a database to be using that much ram is ok as long as the server is performing ok.
