Although I can't find my answer in previous post I am hoping this question has already been answered.
SQL by itself is licensed on a per prosessor basis. SBS 2003 supports two processors. SQL 2000 come with SBS primium. Is there any further licenses that need be purchased to run SQL 2000 on SBS 2003 premium with two prosessors?
A customer of mine wants to max out the hardware that SBS will be installed on and I can't advise correctly whether to go single or dual processor.
I have found a KB artical at MS (909382) that states in the information section that ( Windows Small Business Server 2003 supports a maximum of two physical processors, even if the processors are multicore or hyper-threaded. ) but there is no mention of SQL. I can go ahead and assume that the two prosessors are supported but, and it's a big but, if I am wrong the price differance is enormous. I also need the information of future clients.
