hi,

thanks to the forum (and its users) i have managed to install my new database.
now its time for the tables and data.

i have created the database within the new SQL install called "data"
now i have a .mdb called "data"

i want all the tables and data into the SQL database.
i have tried the access upsizing wizard... it works but too many errors.
i got more joy by using the import option in the SQL enterprise manager screen. but again, still some errors. ie one table (the main table) came up empty, the structure was there, but no data.

im afraid i need both structure and data....

i know you cant say exactly what to do, but if anyone has done this before, is there any tips or tricks to doing this, and any ways i can check the data to make sure the SQL database will accept it.

for example, tools within access.....

or is it better to create the tables in the SQL database, create the relationships etc. THEN import the data

sorry for the long post...

Chris
