Hello !!

We have a Small Business Server 2003 R2 premium with SQL 2000.

We need now using OLAP on some databases, but I cannot found any resources on the net on how installing this component ? It's not installed by default.

And I search "step by step" tutorial for working with OLAP databases with SQL 2000. If someone know where I can find that...

Thank you very much in advance and sorry for my poor english.

PS: We really need working with OLAP, so if it's not possible to use "Analysis Services" with SBS2003, are there other solutions ?

There is a folder named OLAP on the SQL 2000 CD where you can find the setup.exe. This would install SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services. Let me know if you need further assistance on designing OLAP cubes and utilizing the data mining features for business intelligence

Great to hear you managed to install Analysis Services. One thing to note that SQL Server 2005 is a better product for business intelligence than SQL Server 2000. You have a full suite of business intelligence tools - from ETL using SQL Server Integration Services, to building cubes and utilizing data mining using Analysis Services, to reporting using Reporting Services.

Thank you for your suggestion, but for now, we are using an ERP that does not support SQL 2005 Workgroup.. (SAP BusinessOne 2005)
It's only supporting SQL 2000 standard and higher.
