I've just installed a new server with SBS 2003, premium editiion. The SQL server install was fine, including the latest update (SP4 I think). How can I check that it is all working OK? Clients workstations are XP Pro with Office 2003 premium installed. Is there a simple program e.g. an Access module which tests connection to the sample SQL databases?

Did you upgrade the Sharepoint instance to full SQL? If you can connect to the companyweb then everything should be just fine.

I can't recall any specific action to upgrade Sharepoint to fill SQL. Is there an easy way to check? Certainly the Companyweb seems to be working.

Have a look in the Sharepoint administrator. If you can upgrade to full text search you have successfully installed SQL.
