I need to remove a temporary DC I added to a SBS 2003 Domain to be used for a swing Migration. I screwed it up and need to start with a fresh box and suck AD on to it so I can proceed with the migration [again]. I can't plug the box back into the production network because I have made signifigant changes to AD. I want to remove all traces of the Server "Migration" from the production network and add the same box back with a fresh install.

Does anyone know how I can properly remove all traces of the Domian Controller I added to the Production Domain, and without plugging it back into the Production Network?

No one has even looked at my post in 30 hours since I posted at Swing Migration, so I'm hoping that someone here understands what I'm talking about AND knows how to accomplish it.

Any and all help GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks

I'm following up on this thread to ensure that it's clear what is going on and what to do about it. Though I don't provide technical support of Swing Migration project steps here on SBSmigration.com for my customers. Every customer of SBSmigration.com receives 90 days of free support by email to successfully complete the first project included in the cost of their first kit order. Each customer also has the use of the discussion forums on SBSmigration.com which are provided for annual subscribers to use for unlimited number of projects as an alternative to paid project support, a way to minimize their cost for casual or low priority support. I've invited Charles by direct email to use the unlimited free support by direct email to ensure he gets the best possible support in the minimal time that can be addressed. I'm replying here so the site administrator here need not have to.

On the question that was asked, in fact, I recommend against attempting to do cleanup on the original production server if you start over for precisely the reason that it's both dangerous and unnecessary. You can redo the TempDC with a different name and IP without bothering to address cleanup, it's just not needed.

Regarding the apparent lack of attention, the time stamps on the post and replay are 10 hrs apart, not 30 hrs, but that's probably not the main take away here.
