We have one SBS 2003 Prem server on a SATA drive. The SATA drive is failing, so we cannot successfully retrieve an image from the server. We have recently purchased SCSI disks, which we plan to roll out in a RAID5 config. How will I retrieve Active Directory, Exchange and Stored Folders onto a “temp” server – Install the SCSI drives into the original server and restore AD, Exchange and the Stored Folders? Can this be accomplished with the Swing method?

Astin,

Yes, you can Swing it if you wish but you can also do a 'disaster' restore to new hardware. See http://www.smallbizserver.net/tabid/266/articleType/CategoryView/categoryId/32/Backup-and-restore.aspx for articles on this subject.

We have joined the branch office to our SBS 2003 Headquarters and have the same user experience on the branch office as we have on our local  network at the Headquarters. Want to know how?  Have you tried to boot to an Acronis or Norton Ghost disk and do an image? We use Acronis with Universal Restore. I would try that before I did a swing.
