I have purchased the Swing Migration Kit and have tried to complete a migration of SBS 2003 Prem to new hardware.

My domain has 1 extra Win2003Std DC for a remote site.

In proceeding with the SBS 2003 Redeployment method, I have removed all instances of the old SBS DC, but the references to the remote DC for the remote office still remain.

My question is does this reference need to be removed from AD, or can it still remain.

It would be a tremendous help to understand this process as I have yet to be able to complete a Swing Migration to this point.

Hi Conrad,

Why don't you contact Jeff directly? Don't you know that you have 90 days unlimited support by email from him?

I am passed my 90 days of support.

When I first purchased it the Swing Migration did not work, but since there was not a lot of information on the original server, I just did a re-install of the entire domain.

Now we have a lot of information on the server, so a re-installation in not an option. I went to the sbsmigration.com site and found out that I need to renew the support. We are considering it, but at this point we have yet to get the swing migration to work with the original amount we paid so we are reluctant to pay for increased support at this point unless absolutely necessary.

Hi Conrad,

I can't understand why you didn't even try to contact Jeff. You might be surprised. So please, send him an email.

Conrad,

Marina was kind enough to contact me offline on your behalf, so I want to thank her for that extra effort.

I want to assure you that my goal is to help people complete their first project successfully, that's why I include support in the purchase. I'm not trying to stand somewhere 91 days past the purchase date and demand additional payment from my customers.

I would encourage you and anyone else to keep in mind that when you purchase a product from SBSmigration.com, you are dealing with my business and you can contact me personally and directly if you need help or have an issue.

Smallbiizserver.net is operated by my friends and respected peers, but your business purchase for a Technician Kit is arranged at SBSmigration.com, you should be contacting me about that. Please contact me directly at YCST@SBSmigration.com to address whatever concerns you have for getting the entire value of you Kit purchase.
